About The Remakes

Christopher Conner's The Remakes is a unique collection of beautifully original designs inspired by film and popular culture. Originally established in early 2010, The Remakes is an independently run project by designer and film enthusiast Christopher Conner. All the designs are unique and 100% original, inspired by classic and modern film, game, and television. This growing collection of carefully considered, minimalist and typographic art is inspired by the most iconic and memorable moments in pop culture history.

Since graduating, Christopher Conner picked up the award for Best in Show 2010 at the 'Designers Northern Alliance' annual exhibition for his collection of designs appropriately entitled 'THE REMAKES'. Shortly after the exhibition his designs were featured on the 'Design Week' blog in a write up from acclaimed Illustrator Si Scott of Breed London. Si Scott said: "In particular, the work of Christopher Conner, who won Best in Show, really resonated with the judges. From his digital work to his great set of re-interpreted classic movie posters, his work had a connection and was easy to relate to. If you have seen the movies in question you instantly understood the design. His posters showed a simple idea executed brilliantly and directly."

The Remakes have since been featured at popular art and fashion store 'High above the Street' formally known as 'Paper Scissor Stone'. The collection has also featured on several blog's including Zouch Magazine and Total Film. A recent feature includes an interview with Christopher Conner for Argentina's national newspaper La Nación.
